Has anyone ever bought fishing gear off ebay? - ebay fish sticks

looking for new gear for the spring. My main source is named the Bass Pro Shops basspro.com pseudonym. But I saw the same role / Rod on eBay at a cheaper price ... It seems that incomplete purchase of gear outside of eBay. Once you do that? in thinking only with Bass Pro Shops stick, but that could otherwise save money. What would you do?
